PLI is a structure based in Normandy's Orne region since 2013. It produces and distributes works at the crossroads of several artistic fields. It also develops research and transmission projects. PLI mainly produces projects by choreographer Flora Détraz.
Flora Détraz is a dancer, vocalist and choreographer. She grew up in a family of musicians. After studying ballet and modern literature, she joined the training programme at the Centre Chorégraphique National de Rillieux-la-Pape, under the direction of Maguy Marin. She then joined the choreographic studies programme at Forum Dança in Lisbon.
She creates multi-disciplinary works that explore notions of the invisible and transformation through dialogue between body and voice. Her work questions social conventions through the representation of troubled and chaotic bodies that escape rationality. From breath to screams, laughter to polyphonic, sung and spoken voices, the body seeks to (re)connect with deep, ancestral and mythical strata.
As a performer, she works regularly with choreographers Marlene Monteiro Freitas and Sara Anjo.
