CRIER is a participative project that offers a group of people the chance to shout collectively in situ: natural outdoor places (volcano, mountain, forest, lake, plain, seaside, etc.) or places steeped in a particular history (heritage, ruins, etc.).
CRIER means connecting with your deepest emotions, your own intimacy, your fury, your anger, your fears and also your joy. How does this intimate power become a collective power, a force for unity and resistance? And how does the power of the collective nourish our inner power? How can we achieve a liberating cry? Using somatic practices based on breathing and resonating with the given environment, we will unfold the infinite palette of the voice, moving from song to laughter and from breath to cry. In a playful setting, we’ll celebrate free and joyful bodies where intimate and political dimensions coexist.
CRIER is designed to be a blend of transmission and creation, and depending on the context, will give rise to various forms of output: podcasts, texts, video-objects, happenings, site-specific performances, etc.
